Charlie McAvoy breaks through at perfect time with Bruins facing elimination
Briefly

With the Bruins on the brink of elimination at the hands of the Panthers, it was McAvoy who helped lead the way with a breakthrough game at Amerant Bank Arena - scoring the game-winning goal and adding a helper in Boston's 2-1 win in Game 5.
"It's nice to be rewarded for everything he does," Charlie Coyle said of McAvoy. "Charlie does it all. Even when he's not scoring, I know he wants to score and contribute, which he's more than capable of."
When he's on his game, McAvoy has the skills that are capable of shifting the momentum of a game in a variety of ways. Not only does McAvoy log heavy reps and snuff out scoring chances, he's punctuated several playoff games with bone-crunching hits.
His poise with the puck and skating ability allows him to activate off the blue line and operate in Grade-A ice, where he can orchestrate Grade-A looks with crisp seam passes.
