Suspect in Brockton double stabbing arrested in Vermont, victim identified

The suspect in a double stabbing in Brockton that left one person dead was arrested in Vermont. Kevin Digregorio, 33, of Randolph, was found by Vermont State Police and the U.S. Marshals in Lunenberg.
Plymouth County District Attorney's office announced Digregorio will face murder charges in Brockton District Court. Massachusetts State Police responded to the stabbing at 23 Melrose Ave.
One victim identified as 59-year-old William Hewlett died, while the second victim, a 61-year-old man, was treated and released from the hospital.
Massachusetts State Police obtained an arrest warrant for Digregorio after initial investigation. Officials stated the incident didn't seem to be a random act of violence.
