The Minneapolis City Council approved a $150,000 settlement with Donald Williams, a witness to George Floyd's murder who testified against Derek Chauvin, alleging he was assaulted by police when trying to intervene.
Williams stated Chauvin grabbed a canister of chemical spray, and another officer placed a hand on his chest while he witnessed Floyd being subjected to a blood choke, resulting in fear for his safety and trauma.
