Founded after the murder of George Floyd, The Layout at Fort Greene Park creates spaces for Black joy, with the fifth annual Juneteenth event focusing on Black empowerment through cultural expression and economic support.
The event featured a community floral wall, a Black business marketplace, entertainment, family-friendly activities, diverse local cuisine vendors, and BuyBLK. ByBLK. Pop Up supporting over 40 Black-owned businesses.
Collaborating with The Infatuation, The Layout partnered to distribute 750 bags of fresh produce to NYCHA residents, emphasizing community support and empowerment.
