One of the main side stories of Darkfest this season was that co-founder and lead builder, Sam Reynolds, would not be riding...arwly before the event was supposed to take place.
Ankles are one of the biggest problem spots on the body for mountain bikers...consistent abuse no matter what type of riding you do.
Having dealt with ankle problems personally and vicariously through my partner who has a fused ankle, I can say that ankle braces aren't a bad investment even as a cautionary measure.
