Designed in conjunction with Frank Hermansen and Carl Winefordner, the Highbar strap is just one part of the overall product. Canyon's involvement comes with the rest, and although the helmet has been seen in the wild atop the heads of Carolin Schiff and Petr Vakoc, Canyon has yet to officially acknowledge its existence publicly.
While Canyon is set to be the first to adopt the Highbar system, Highbar aims to license its innovation to other brands in a similar way to MIPS or Boa, but emphasizes that the system needs to be integrated into the helmet design, not offered as an aftermarket add-on.
