France Football is considering giving Robert Lewandowski the Ballon d'Or four years after the 2019/20 season, although nothing is official yet. Lewandowski stated he wouldn't mind receiving it late and would see it as a great honor.
Lewandowski received a Lego version of the award and the best striker award instead. The Ballon d'Or was not awarded in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, angering Bayern fans.
