Bayern Munich has agreed in principle to hire Burnley manager Vincent Kompany as its new boss following a series of rejections from other candidates to succeed Thomas Tuchel.
Craig Bellamy will not join Kompany at Bayern, but Floribert Ngalula and Bram Geers will be part of his backroom staff.
Kompany's German-speaking ability and successful managerial stints at Anderlecht and Burnley played crucial roles in Bayern's decision to appoint him.
Kompany, a former player for Manchester City, led Burnley to the Championship title in 2023 but faced relegation from the Premier League this season.
