Charges against UT Austin protesters dropped

Defense lawyers found problems with the probable cause arrest affidavits used to justify the arrests. The language in the affidavits appeared to be copied and pasted, leading to deficiencies.
County Attorney Delia Garza acknowledged the deficiencies in the documents and dropped the charges. Police could, however, revise the affidavits and potentially press charges up to two years later.
