Darden Restaurants acquired Chuy's for $37.50 per share, totaling an enterprise value of around $605 million. Chuy's is known for Tex-Mex dishes and quirky decor, starting in Austin in 1982.
Chuy's co-founders sold a majority to Goode Partners in 2006, expanded across the U.S., went public in 2012, and recently opened a new location in Austin's Mueller area in April.
