Should you be worried about AI?
Briefly

While I appreciate the focus on futuristic threats like killer robots and superintelligence, the real concerns lie in today's AI applications, particularly in law enforcement. Such technologies risk profiling and potentially targeting individuals based on predictions of future behavior, which can lead to unjust consequences and reinforce biases in the justice system.
The idea of predicting crime based on AI algorithms sounds beneficial, but the potential for misuse and ethical concerns raises alarms. If an AI suggests someone could be a sex offender based on arbitrary data, it opens up a Pandora’s box of moral and legal dilemmas.”
