Arsenal U18s thrashed Crewe Alexandra 7-1 to reach the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup but, somewhat remarkably, they found themselves on the receiving end of that scoreline tonight as they were knocked out by Liverpool.
Despite giving a good account of themselves in the first half having equalised through Ethan Nwaneri after Lewis Koumas' opener, Arsenal were unable to cope with the relentless Liverpool pressure in the second period and also made several costly errors themselves.
