Apple is the latest company to lower the value of many of its existing devices, adjusting the amount it's willing to pay for trade-ins when people upgrade.
Third-party services, such as Gazelle, often pay a bit more for used electronics. For example, an iPhone 14 Pro Max could fetch as much as $712 on that site, compared to $620 from Apple.
