Apple has formally challenged a €1.8 billion antitrust fine from the EU, arguing against evidence of consumer harm related to App Store practices.
The EU had instructed Apple to stop blocking rival music-streaming platforms from informing users about lower-cost sign-ups away from the App Store.
Spotify's complaint, related to restrictions prior to the Digital Markets Act, prompted the ongoing EU investigation into Apple and Google's compliance with new rules for app marketplaces.
