General Motors has achieved remarkable growth in its EV sales, selling almost 21,000 vehicles in July and August 2024 alone. This puts the company in a strong position to potentially outpace Ford and become the third-largest EV manufacturer in the U.S.
GM's president of global markets, Rory Harvey, emphasized, "We are definitely outstripping the industry in terms of growth, in terms of EVs," highlighting the company's successful transition to electric vehicle production.
Available GM EVs now include the Chevy Equinox EV, Blazer EV, Silverado EV, Cadillac Lyriq, GMC Sierra EV, and Hummer EV, showcasing a diverse lineup that positions GM favorably against competitors.
The continuous sales momentum is underscored by GM's commitment to offering a robust range of electric models, with plans to have as many as 10 EVs on the market by year-end, aiming for enhanced consumer engagement.
