SF police can't ticket driverless cars for speeding, running red lights
In San Francisco, driverless cars cannot be cited for moving violations according to California's vehicle code.
Police officers can make a traffic stop if they witness an autonomous car violate the rules of the road, but cannot issue a citation for a moving violation if the car is in driverless mode. [ more ]
