The recent ban on imports from Pakistan, following an attack in Kashmir, has left traders like Vipan Kumar devastated, halting their businesses and raising concerns about future prospects.

"Direct or indirect Import or transit of all goods originating in or exported from Pakistan... shall be prohibited with immediate effect, until further orders," a notification by India's Commerce Ministry read.
