Shadow was the antagonist of most of , and seemingly sacrificed himself to stop his original plan to destroy the world. The movie's final post-credits scene shows him recovering his inhibitor rings that fell to Earth in the film's climactic space battle, implying that he would return in a future movie or television series. What we know so far about makes it sound like Shadow won't be in the next numbered film, so a spin-off starring him would be the next best thing.
