Eleven security personnel killed in Iran police station attack
At least 11 Iranian security personnel were killed in an attack on a police station in the province of Sistan-Baluchestan, bordering Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The Sunni armed group, Jaish al-Adl, claimed responsibility for the attack. Unrest in the region is fueled by drug-smuggling gangs, Baluchi rebels, and Sunni Muslim hardliners. [ more ]
