We're almost at the finish line of the 2025 NFL regular season, making this our second-to-last NFL Power Rankings of the year. There was plenty of movement near the top of the list after both No. 1 seeds (the Rams and Broncos) lost in Week 16. Plus, the bottom of the list shuffled after dominant wins by the Saints and Titans.
Week 16 of the 2025 NFL season began with a Thursday night contest between the Rams and Seahawks that had major playoff implications. Seattle converted two separate 2-point conversions in an OT win, ascending to the NFC's No. 1 seed before the final two weeks of the season. In the first game on Saturday, the Eagles started slow, then poured it on against the Commanders to win their second straight NFC East crown.
Retaliating on behalf of a teammate is hardly uncommon in the NFL. What made this different was how Williams volunteered to help Pili pay a potential league fine (he didn't receive one), and what the veteran was wearing when he did so -- a Seahawks-branded T-shirt that read "M.O.B. TIES." As in, "Mission Over Bulls---."
ESPN Eliminator Challenge is one of the most fun games to play this NFL season. The rules are simple: pick one team, and as long as they win (or tie), you advance to the next round. If they lose, you are out. The caveat is you cannot pick the same team twice. If you've made it this far, give yourself a pat on the back.
Evaluating NFL trades is an inexact science. In the moment, we can compare deals to similar ones from the past or look at what the widely held expectations were for a swap, but teams have information and insights that we don't necessarily have on the outside.
PITTSBURGH -- The Seattle Seahawks face the Pittsburgh Steelers in a NFL Week 2 matchup on Sunday. Shoring up the run defense was an emphasis this offseason, yet the Steelers struggled against the Jets. The defense will be tested in a different way against Seattle's zone scheme without first-round rookie defensive tackle Derrick Harmon (knee). Watch out for No. 3 corner Josh Jobe, whose combination of size (6-foot-4, 210 pounds) and speed might make him Seattle's best option to match up with former Seahawk DK Metcalf.
