Teachers strike ends in Andover as school committee, union reach agreement
Andover students will return to class on Wednesday after the school committee and teachers union reached a tentative agreement to end the strike.
The agreement includes provisions for a living wage for instructional assistants, paid parental leave, and additional time for recess and lunch for elementary students.
The agreement boosts contractual increases for teachers by 15.5 percent and for instructional assistants by 34 percent over four years. [ more ]
