Otherworldly mini-Yellowstone found in the deep sea
Scientists have discovered a submerged mini Yellowstone called Sendero del Cangrejo in Ecuadorian waters, which contains a chain of hydrothermal vents that may offer clues to the origin of life on Earth and other worlds.
The vent site was discovered with the help of squat lobsters and is named 'Trail of the Crabs' in their honor. [ more ]
