A woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a Toronto parking lot near Don Mills Road and Lawrence Avenue E.
Three men were killed in a crash on the Staten Island Expressway just before 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 5, police sources said. A 2015 Chevrolet Cruze heading westbound on the major thoroughfare forcefully hit a barrier and flipped off the roadway. EMS responded to the horrific crash and pronounced all three passengers in the car, men ages 25, 26 and 27, dead at the scene. As of Sunday morning, police were withholding the names of the victims pending family notification.
RICHMOND A man in his 30s was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a fire crew ran him over with their truck outside a Cutting Boulevard fire station, authorities said. According to police sources, the incident took place on Martense Avenue and 102nd Street in Corona at around 8:05 p.m. on Sept. 14. Police sources reported that the driver, a 40-year-old man, was behind the wheel of a 2013 white Honda sedan when he struck a 13-year-old girl and a 72-year-old man as they crossed the street. The driver then lost control of the vehicle and plowed into a nearby building, law enforcement sources reported.
According to law enforcement sources, officers in the 75th Precinct responded to a call about a stolen vehicle at Pennsylvania and Hegeman Avenues in East New York at around 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 14. Police said the alleged perp, a 15-year-old boy, was identified by the victim at the scene. Officers then sprang into action when the young suspect immediately fled in the vehicle, going only a short distance around a corner, authorities said. With cops tailing him, the perp had to aggressively navigate traffic.
