A pedestrian was taken to a Boston hospital with life-threatening injuries after they were struck by a car in Canton on Wednesday evening. Local emergency personnel responded to the scene at Randolph Street and Wentworth Road shortly before 7 p.m., according to a release from Canton police and fire.

At around 2 p.m., officers responded to a call about a pedestrian struck by a car in the area around Meridian Street and Saratoga Street. On arrival, officers found a woman suffering from severe, life-threatening injuries. Police say Boston EMS transported the woman to a local hospital for treatment.
