Sailor arrives in Hawaii a day after US Coast Guard seeks public's help finding him
Noel Rubio, a 60-year-old man sailing from California to Hawaii, has arrived safely in Hawaii after the Coast Guard asked for public help in finding him.
Rubio left Long Beach on Dec. 28 and planned to arrive in Kaneohe on the island of Oahu three weeks later.
The Coast Guard was unable to find Rubio despite extensive search efforts, but he arrived safely with his 32-foot sailboat on Saturday. [ more ]
