The crash with a car was reported at 8:25 p.m. on Branham Lane near Jarvis Avenue, according to the San Jose Police Department. The motorcycle rider, described only as an adult, was taken to the hospital with major injuries and was pronounced dead, police said. A minor who was riding in the car was also taken to the hospital with what were described as injuries that were not life threatening, police said.
The crash was reported at 12:19 a.m. Saturday near Ocala Avenue and Ridgemont Drive, between East Capitol Expressway and South White Road, according to the San Jose Police Department. An initial investigation determined that a woman driving a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica was turning left from Ridgemont onto westbound Ocala, putting her in the path of a man headed east on a 2024 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. The rider crashed into the minivan; he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A 47-year-old Antioch man driving a Toyota Corolla collided with a 47-year-old man traveling northbound on a motorcycle at about 9:23 p.m. at the intersection of 42nd Ave. and International Boulevard, police said Saturday. Police found the Corolla driver unresponsive allegedly with open containers of alcohol and marijuana in the vehicle. He died from injuries suffered in the crash, according to police.
A man suffered life-threatening injuries in a solo-motorcycle crash Monday night in San Jose, according to police. The crash happened around 6:50 p.m. in the area of South Seventh Street and Tully Road, the San Jose Police Department said in a social media post. Ontario Provincial Police say one person is dead after a motorcycle crash in the Township of Muskoka Lakes. Police say officers of the Bracebridge OPP detachment were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Windermere Road shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday. They say the lone rider a 45-year-old man from Brampton was taken to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Police say Windermere Road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
Shortly after 12:30 a.m. Saturday, CHP officers responded to reports of the first incident a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on Highway 17 south of Santa Cruz Avenue in Los Gatos, authorities said. The vehicle, a Toyota Camry, was driving northbound in the southbound lanes and caused another vehicle to leave the highway. Authorities do not know where the Toyota entered the freeway.
