New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has requested that companies busing migrants into the state give a 32-hour notice, following a similar order by New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
Buses have been dropping off migrants in New Jersey after they were transported by charter buses commissioned by Texas with the intention of traveling to New York City.
The governor's letter to 23 bus companies does not include penalties for violating the order, but asks for information on the number of people being brought into the state.
