Gotta go? We've finally found out what makes urine yellow

Researchers have discovered the previously unknown microbial enzyme responsible for the yellow color of urine, identified as bilirubin reductase.
Bilirubin is an orange pigment released by red blood cells, and gut microbes use bilirubin reductase to break it down into yellowish urobilin, giving urine its color. [ more ]
