London's bus passengers will be able to take unlimited journeys for the price of a single fare at weekends this summer, as Transport for London ( TfL) looks at ways of addressing a recent decline in bus ridership.
A fault with the signalling system at Lewisham is causing disruption to services this morning, with trains running through the station subject to cancellations, delays or revisions until around 9am. The issue means services from Hither Green towards central London are currently unable to use platform 1 at Lewisham. As a result, trains heading towards central London from Sidcup and Sevenoaks are unable to call at Lewisham.
One incident involved a driver on route 159 who discovered a cockroach in their drink during a break. The driver described the experience in a video recorded inside the affected vehicle. I went to take a sip from my drink and felt something in my mouth, the driver said. I spat it out and saw it was a cockroach. I felt sick and ended up vomiting.
