The Department of Justice offered a startling confession to a court on Tuesday, acknowledging that it repeatedly made a 'material mistaken statement of fact' while defending Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrests of noncitizens at immigration court.

The clips were a symbolic gesture chosen to not inadvertently prejudice the jury, which would decide if social media companies could be held liable for the kinds of harms they believe their children experienced.

A Paris court on Monday found ten people guilty of cyberbullying France's first lady, Brigitte Macron. The defendants were accused of spreading false information about Macron's gender and sexuality, including a conspiracy theory that she was born a man. Other comments including false information alleging pedophilia, which the court labeled "particularly degrading, insulting and malicious." Those charged included eight men and two women aged between 41 and 65.

Video of the alleged rape of Palestinian prisoner at Sde Temain went viral last year. Now the prosecutor who leaked it has quit. The Israeli military's top lawyer, Major-General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, has resigned after admitting to leaking footage showing the gang rape of a prisoner at the Sde Temain prison facility in August last year. The video of the rape had originally been leaked to the press in early August in the midst of a right-wing backlash following the arrest of a number of soldiers for the rape of a Palestinian prisoner.
"The senseless deaths of these two little girls broke our hearts yet hardened our determination to hold responsible the people whose recklessness killed them," District Attorney Jeff Rosen said.
"He stole our lives," said Clotilde "Wendy" Sawadogo, deed theft victim. "We were no longer happy in our house. We were feeling like strangers in our own homes."
The court's decision highlights the leniency often afforded to violators affecting vital freshwater habitats, as fines and costs totaled less than â¬20,000 despite severe ecological impact.
