Mayor of London should restart planning for Crossrail 2 and seek powers to raise local taxes to pay for it.
The National Transportation Safety Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday to determine the probable cause of the March 2024 collapse of Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge that was struck by the cargo ship Dali, killing six people. The incident prompted the board to call for urgent safety assessments of 68 bridges in 19 states including iconic crossings like the Golden Gate Bridge, Chesapeake Bay Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge and George Washington Bridge.
"In the end, something very profound happened. The world was very different," Gates said. "Some companies succeeded, but a lot of the companies were kind of me-too, fell behind, burning capital companies."
"Because everybody's acting like it's something it isn't," Zitron said. "They're acting like it's this panacea that will be the future of software growth, the future of hardware growth, the future of compute."
This continues despite non-stop nonsensical attacks from elected officials in the Trump Administration and here in California that have somehow escalated in the past six months. 62% of California voters, including 80% of Democrats, support building the project. The poll also breaks down approval by age, showing that as voters get younger they are more likely to support the project. 79% of Gen Zers, 72% of Millennials, 56% of Gen Xers, and 48% of Baby Boomers want to see the rail line built.
