Trans veterans were promised access to gender-affirming surgeries - but it never happened
The Transgender American Veterans Association (TAVA) has filed a lawsuit against the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for its failure to provide gender-confirmation surgery to transgender veterans.
The VA has not yet responded to the lawsuit or provided any reasons for the lack of progress in implementing the policy change. [ more ]
