"Just a true vet," head coach Jordi Fernández said. "You see him right now, he's passing the ball to Drake and we're not asking him to do it. So that shows you the type of veteran he is, his leadership. He holds him accountable and he wants him to get better. So that's very important for us. That leadership is priceless and we're very happy with him... He's doing his job every single day."

Instead, the focus has been on incremental steps, daily routines and making sure nothing's rushed. "Yeah, he's in a good place," Fernández said. "He shows up every day and does his job, is an ultimate pro. And not just about taking care of his body and getting his work. Right now, he's on the court with coaches. He hasn't gotten to five-on-five yet or contact per se. So, when he's taking these next steps, we'll let you guys know."
