Counting Nemo! Clownfish can recognise number of stripes on other fish

Clownfish can count to determine whether other fish are friends or foes by counting their stripes. They dislike fish with three stripes, like themselves, as well as fish with two stripes.
Clownfish have the ability to count which is proved by their reaction to fish with different numbers of stripes. They tend to leave alone fish with one or no stripes. [ more ]
