Apple backtracks, won't remove progressive web apps in the EU after all
Progressive web apps were initially going to be removed in iOS 17.4 in the EU due to compliance with the DMA but will now be supported.

Apple opens up iOS to alternative app stores in the EU
Apple is making changes to iOS and the App Store in response to the EU Digital Markets Act.
Browsers on iOS will be able to use any rendering engine, and iPhone owners in the EU will be presented with a browser choice screen in Safari. [ more ]
