A 14-year-old was held without bail after allegedly stabbing a teenage girl near East Boston High School last month, prosecutors said. Another alleged attacker "will be arraigned at a later date." The 14-year-old, of East Boston, is charged with assault to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery. The judge ordered them held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing Monday in Chelsea Juvenile Court, Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden said.
A woman was seriously injured when she was struck by a car in East Boston on Thursday afternoon, according to the Boston Police Department. At around 2 p.m., officers responded to a call about a pedestrian struck by a car in the area around Meridian Street and Saratoga Street. On arrival, officers found a woman suffering from severe, life-threatening injuries. Police say Boston EMS transported the woman to a local hospital for treatment.
