The month of April was full of excitement for the Miami Marlins.As of early Monday night, they sit tied with the New York Mets for second place in the NL East.The Marlins ended the month on a four-game winning streak in which they won every game by one run-that has been a trend for Miami, as they are 10-0 in one-run games this season.

The Miami Marlins continue to squeak out victories as they defeated the Chicago Cubs 7-6 Saturday night.The Marlins improved to 15-13 on the season and remain perfect in one-run ballgames with a 9-0 record.The Marlins offense was all over the Cubs pitching staff.The Fish scored seven runs on twelve hits.

Garrett Cooper came through with a two-out, two-run double that capped a stunning five-run ninth inning by the Miami Marlins, who avoided a sweep with a 5-4 victory over the Atlanta Braves in a game delayed more than three hours Thursday by inclement weather.Kyle Wright and four relievers held Miami scoreless until the ninth, but the Marlins overcame a 4-0 deficit against Braves closer A.J. Minter.

The Miami Marlins knocked off the Tampa Bay Rays in Saturday afternoon's Spring Training game.They bested the Rays 5-3 after breaking out offensively in the bottom of the fifth.Left-handed pitcher Trevor Rogers got the start for the Marlins and continues to throw well this spring.Rogers went four innings as scheduled, allowing two hits, two runs, no runs, and five strikeouts.

ATLANTA-With their ace on the mound, their three best relievers available, and their best hitter back in the lineup, Wednesday seemed like the perfect night for the Marlins to snap a three-game losing streak.Unfortunately, some bad luck and tough fielding allowed Atlanta to rally late and steal one from Miami, 6-4.
