Atalanta produced a magnificent comeback to knock Borussia Dortmund out of the Champions League in the most dramatic fashion tonight. The Bundesliga side came into the second leg of the play-off with a commanding 2-0 advantage but were unable to get the job done in Bergamo. Having fallen 3-0 behind on the night, Dortmund levelled the tie thanks to Karim Adeyemi but some woeful defending from Ramy Bensebaini gifted Atalanta a penalty in the 98th minute and Lazar Samardžić made no mistake.
A lot was on the line for the Patriots in their first game back from their late-season bye, most notably the AFC East, which they could have stolen from the Bills with a win. Their first-half effort made it look beyond possible, as they went up by three scores early, only to totally collapse in the second half and give the Bills a chance at the division down the stretch.
More timidity to observe, more vulnerability in defence, more powder-puff stuff up front, more wide men running in ever decreasing circles. Another defeat, another performance that along with zero goals and zero points had zero positives. In the last few seasons, Rangers, for all their other faults at the time, went toe-to-toe with Athletic Bilbao, Benfica, Red Bull Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund.
