The 33-year-old sustained abrasions and a laceration to his left ear during an incident involving almost 30 riders on Saturday's rain-soaked 221km route from Burgas to Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria. Yates, who hit a barrier at high speed, eventually finished almost 14 minutes behind the leading pack after he battled on in a blood-stained kit.
LIVIGNO, Italy -- Canadian snowboarder Mark McMorris said he's "coming around and starting to feel like myself again" after suffering a concussion and pelvic injuries during a nasty fall in training on the big air course before the Milan Cortina Olympics started. In an interview with The Associated Press on Thursday, McMorris said he lost consciousness when he fell eight days earlier during training for the contest that opened the action at Livigno Snow Park last week.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will not return to Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts with a concussion. Harrison left the game with 6:59 left in the second quarter after the back of his head hit the turf following a 21-yard catch. He sat on the ground for a few moments and then went to the sideline.
