HMRC quietly closes loophole that saves drivers thousands in car tax
Double-cab pick-up trucks will be classified as cars instead of vans for tax purposes, leading to increased car tax for drivers who use these vehicles for work and personal use.
HM Revenue and Customs will assess the classification of each double-cab pick-up truck on an individual basis, but from July 2024, most if not all of these vehicles will be considered cars for tax calculations. [ more ]
