Alameda briefs: Carnegie foundation to give city's library system $10,000

Alameda Free Library will receive a $10,000 gift from Carnegie Corp. of New York to honor Carnegie legacy and support public access to information.

Each eligible U.S. Carnegie library will receive an unrestricted $10,000 donation from the Carnegie Corporation in January 2026.
