Kaifu devised an adventurous plan that would see a team of researchers take to the sea in a 225 km canoe trip from Taiwan to Japan's Yonaguni island.

The Altamaha River, a 137-mile gem nicknamed Georgia's 'Little Amazon,' offers paddlers an experience through diverse ecosystems and is home to numerous endangered species.

The hippo hit our canoe from underneath, lifting us completely out of the water and causing us to topple sideways into the Zambezi River.

"Not only does it have a great lore in Central Texas, but nationally and internationally, there's nothing like it in the world. We don't offer prize money."

It sounds like the canoe drifted over, on top of the alligator. The alligator was startled.
