Whoops, turns out there is money in California budget for 4th graders to go to state parks

Funding for the California State Park Adventure Pass is included in Gov. Gavin Newsom's proposed budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
The budget does not include money to continue the program that lets Californians use a library card to check out passes for state parks and beaches.

Funding for the California State Park Adventure Pass is included in Gov. Gavin Newsom's proposed budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
$2.1 million is allocated to support the program, allowing all fourth graders in California to access 54 state parks.
The budget does not include funding for the library card program that allows free access to over 200 state parks and beaches.
