Airline mergers require approval from both the Justice and Transportation Departments, with significant implications for market share and competition.
The lawsuits argue that the shipping companies never should have charged the fees in the first place, and that the shippers, not the government, owe the customers.
The lawsuit claims that when Walsh requested to work remotely she was told that she could either return to the office or take unpaid leave, which would result in her losing her income and health insurance.
If that shot had just been a little bit further down, that aircraft would have fallen. A pilot and tactical officer were onboard the aircraft, which was hovering over a densely populated area at the time. The impact almost caused severe damage to the systems allowing the pilot to control the aircraft.
A 31-year-old man on suspicion of voyeurism when asked about reports that a BA pilot had been accused of filming sex sessions with up to 16 women without their consent, before sharing the footage online. The Met said the arrest, on Thursday, came after a woman in her 20s alleged that videos had been taken of her and then distributed without her consent.
Boeing entered 2021 still reeling from the 737 MAX grounding, then faced COVID-19 decimating air travel demand, supply chain failures, a door plug blowout in early 2024, and a machinists' strike that produced just 57 commercial deliveries in Q4 2024. The company burned through cash, piled on debt, and suspended its dividend.
The airspace over Los Angeles is among the most congested in the world, but the Hollywood Burbank Airport is uniquely situated, creating extremely tight parameters around the midsize airport.
Chad Joseph and Rishi Samaroo are presumed dead after a U.S. missile hit the boat they were taking home to Trinidad last October. President Trump said the strike targeted narco terrorists when he posted the video online, but families of those men say they had no ties to the drug trade. Now Joseph's mother and Samaroo's sister are suing the U.S. government in federal court in Massachusetts.
There's only one number that tells you whether this company thrives or continues as is: 737 MAX deliveries per month. Boeing has over 4,000 MAX jets in backlog. Airlines like United Airlines (NASDAQ:UAL) and Southwest (NYSE:LUV) are waiting. Each plane sells for roughly $55 million after discounts. The math is brutal: Boeing is targeting 38 deliveries monthly but actually delivering 20-25. That gap represents $715 million in missing revenue every single month, or $8.5 billion annually.
Since the collision on January 29, 2025, between an American Airlines flight from Wichita and a military helicopter on a training ride, military pilots have had to broadcast their precise GPS-based location data to other aircraft and to air traffic control, something they frequently skipped before the crash. The FAA has also barred all but the most essential helicopter traffic along the Potomac near the airport.
Starbucks is getting CEO Brian Niccol to use the company jet for all his travels - and removing his quarter-million travel budget cap. In a Monday filing, the Seattle-based coffee chain said that it was changing its agreement on how much Niccol could use the company's private jet for his personal travel. And the main reason for this change is to ensure Niccol's safety.
BANGOR, Maine -- A private aircraft carrying eight people crashed on takeoff Sunday night at Maine's Bangor International Airport, the Federal Aviation Administration said. The Bombardier Challenger 600 crashed around 7:45 p.m., and there was no immediate word on the conditions of those aboard. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating. The crash occurred as New England and much of the country grappled with a massive winter storm. Bangor had undergone steady snowfall Sunday along with many other parts of the country.
