Los Angeles Times to lay off significant' number of employees, union says
The Los Angeles Times plans to lay off a significant number of journalists, leading to opposition from the LA Times Guild.
The planned layoffs will affect at least 100 journalists, or about 20 percent of the newsroom, and will greatly damage the paper's accountability journalism. [ more ]
