Milan Futuro were eliminated in the play-offs after a late penalty gave Chievo the win following a 1-1 draw.
We faced, probably both technically and physically, the strongest team. I'm happy because the guys got into the game and they understood that today there was not only a need for quality but also for physicality, for physical confrontation. There was, especially in the second half.
Whilst the senior window was quiet for AC Milan, the same cannot be said for the Futuro project, who have received a few new talents to develop. It always seemed like the first team mercato would be rather quiet, and last month was for the most part. Of course, there were rumours throughout, and even a bit of late drama. However, that is part and parcel of January. Though, there was some investment in the mercato.
Moretto - in a video on Fabrizio Romano's YouTube channel - gave an update on the negotiations between Milan and Partizan Belgrade for Kostic, an 18-year-old striker who is already scoring at senior level for them. He confirms that it is true that there are negotiations between the two clubs, but that this is a deal that Milan see as being a reinforcement for the Futuro and not for the first team.
