HOAX: This poster advertising jobs at Kenya Rural Roads Authority is fraudulent

"The poster claims that KeRRA is recruiting for various positions, including public relations officers, interns, store managers, security officers, drivers, office secretaries and civil engineers, among others. Firstly, the use of a Gmail address on the poster raises red flags, as official communication from KeRRA uses email addresses ending in .go.ke, such as [email protected] "

"There is no evidence of the job advert on KeRRA's verified X (formerly Twitter) account and Facebook page, where such announcements are usually published. A review of KeRRA's website shows that the agency published dozens of vacancies on 23 December 2025. Unlike the circulating poster, the genuine advert includes clear application instructions and detailed job descriptions. Other key discrepancies include the email address; the official one is as follows: [email protected], unlike the version on the questionable poster."
