UCLA routed crosstown rival USC 80-46 at Pauley Pavilion with four of five starters scoring in double digits. Center Lauren Betts led the Bruins with 18 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks. Gianna Kneepkens added 15 points and Kiki Rice contributed 14 points and eight assists. UCLA totaled 24 assists and out-rebounded USC 46-26. Kara Dunn scored 11 points for USC. UCLA improved to 14-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play while USC fell to 10-4 and 2-1. UCLA emphasized defensive strength and rebounding, and USC described the performance as disappointing and owned the result.
