Although it embraces a tranquil theme, which some critics find dull, many young players appreciate its slow-paced and patient gameplay. "It's a really fun game," says eight-year-old Eric Watson Teire, adding that he and his brother enjoy competing with friends for rewards.
According to Roblox, the game has had about 9bn visits since it was created in March, with 35% of players aged 13 and under.
