Hayden McDougall shouted pro-Nazi and racist remarks while hanging outside the New York Young Republican Club's 113th annual gala. The gala included white nationalist Jared Taylor, influencer EmpathChan, Vish Burra, and 19 members of Germany’s Alternative for Germany party. Vish Burra lost his job at One America News Network last month for posting a cartoon depicting Jews as cockroaches. An anti-GOP demonstrator handed out Nazi armbands to highlight anti-Jewish sentiment among Republicans. McDougall directed slurs at the demonstrator and mocked immigration. Another attendee, Kevin Smith, slapped McDougall and later apologized, saying he meant to strike the protester. Five GOP officials expected to attend did not show.
